Please attend Eastern Sierra Unified School District’s  Kindergarten Round Up event at Antelope (Coleville), Bridgeport, Lee Vining, or Edna Beaman (Benton) Elementary School.

If your child will turn five on or before October 1st, 2013, then they can attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2013; if they will turn five between December 1st and October 2nd, 2013, then they can attend Transitional Kindergarten in the fall of 2013. Parents if you have a child turning five by the above dates and you live in the Antelope, Bridgeport, Lee Vining, or Edna Beaman School District; please bring your child to your elementary school to learn how to enroll  in Kindergarten, meet the Kindergarten teacher, and find out about the free Summer Bridge Program! Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization record, if you have them. Also, pick up your FREE Kindergarten Survival Kit!

Servicios prestados por: Mono County Public Health, Carkeet DDS y DDS Fujimoto de Sierra Park Dental, Sheriff del Condado de Mono, IMACA y First 5 del Condado de Mono.

First 5 Mono County is seeking  Peapod Program Leaders to establish, develop, facilitate, and implement a parent/child playgroup in Crowley Lake and Lee Vining  in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Peapod Program.

The Peapod Program offers children aged 0-6 and their parents a playgroup led by an experienced Program Leader who provides parenting support, referrals, and education.  Program Leaders should have experience in early childhood development, group facilitation skills involving parents and young children, Spanish speaking skills (desired), possession of or the ability to obtain Red Cross CPR, and Standard First Aid, certificates.  Duties are performed part-time, on an independent contractor basis. Pay is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour with no benefits. Hours will vary, up to a maximum of 220 hours per fiscal year.  To obtain the full Request for Application, call First 5 Mono County 760/ 924-7626 or download Request for Applications (RFA)

Free, Informal Weekly Breastfeeding Support

The First 5 Welcome Baby! Program offers support, encouragement, and current information about all aspects of breastfeeding.  Cafe Mom will not be held on January 30th, but will begin meeting at its new location, Mimi’s Cookie Bar, on February 6th, 2013 at Mimi’s Cookie Bar.
