Calling all parents!

Please attend Kindergarten Round Up at Mammoth Elementary School on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011, 6:00 pm.

If your child will turn five on or before December 2nd, 2011, then he or she can attend Kindergarten in the fall of 2011. Parents, if you live in the Mammoth Unified School District, please bring your child to Mammoth Elementary School to find out when and how to enroll your child in Kindergarten, meet the Kindergarten teachers, sign up your child for a pre-Kindergarten Assessment, and find out about the Free Summer Bridge Program. Also, pick up your FREE Kindergarten Survival Kit!

From 5-6 and 7-8 pm, get your child a FREE dental screening (required for Kindergarten Registration) and topical fluoride varnish!

Si, su niño(a) va a cumplir cinco años antes del 2 de diciembre, 2011, él/ella puede asistir al clase de Kinder el otoño de 2011. Padres, si usted vive en el Mammoth Unified School District, por favor asistan a esta junta informative para saber cuándo y dónde se puede matricular a su niño(a), conocer a los maestros y el director, aprenda más sobre las evaluaciones del pre-Kinder, y aprenda más sobre el programa de “Summer Bridge”

Seeking a Brdgprt. Peapod Prog. Leader

First 5 Mono County is seeking a Peapod Program Leader in Bridgeport to establish, develop, facilitate, and implement a parent/child playgroup in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Peapod Program. The Peapod Program offers children aged 0-5 and their parents a playgroup led by an experienced Program Leader who provides parenting support, referrals, and education.  Program Leaders should have experience in early childhood development, group facilitation skills involving parents and young children, Spanish speaking skills (desired), possession of or the ability to obtain Red Cross CPR, and Standard First Aid, certificates.  Duties are performed part-time, on an independent contractor basis. Pay is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour with no benefits.
